That was when all became still. My surroundings turned somewhat paler in comparison to before, along with everything around me freezing as if time had stopped.

I thought it was my imagination at first, but my eyes told me otherwise. The demon's axe had stopped mid-swing, and the bodies of kobolds were stuck in the falling position.

As I was completely awestruck by the events happening in my vicinity, the Spirit Guide spoke to me.

"Please choose a racial attribute." [Spirit Guide]

Screens popped up in my face, just like how my status plate would do. Each one held some kind of attribute like fire or water, along with a detailed description about it.

I thought about which one to pick, but none were something I wanted. I had skills all around, which was more like a jack of all trades.

I recalled the fight at the colosseum, where the two warriors fought with fire and water.

("In that case, what is Fina's…?") [Solace]

Judging by the skills I learned from her, she didn't have a specific element she used. Fire, wind, water, and maybe dark. Those are all the elements I've learned from her.

("How about picking on our situation?") [Solace]

I scanned our environment, thinking carefully upon my choice.

("Fire…? No, it might hit Fina. Earth…? It may have defensive abilities, but it's too weak. Water is a no go, and light seems… ok? Dark isn't a frontal attribute, so… wind?") [Solace]

An attribute that relies on speed… It did work before, but if I lost my guard again... I didn't even want to think about it.

I scrolled through the attributes again, but found nothing. I idled for a while. In fact, I idled for so long I think I forced the Spirit Guide to give me another option.
